PURPOSE

The purposes of the Associated Produce Dealers and Brokers of Los Angeles are:

To conduct an association of produce dealers and produce brokers and persons with related interests conducting business in the Los Angeles area, in order to advance the interests of produce dealers and produce brokers generally by all proper and legitimate methods.

To promote high standards of business ethics in the produce business and among produce dealers and produce brokers generally and to discourage customs and practices not in accordance with sound business principles.

To foster and encourage legislation and regulation by federal, state and local authorities which will be conducive to the best interests of produce dealers and produce brokers generally and the public interest, and to resist legislation or regulation which would be contrary to such interests.

To promote fair and equitable trade practices in the produce business and to establish and maintain lawful uniformity in commercial usage. 
 
To collect, preserve and disseminate information of all kinds which may be useful to the produce trade.

To foster and promote the produce trade in the Los Angeles area and other areas of the country.

To promote goodwill and friendly association of all kinds between produce dealers and produce brokers and others associated with the produce trade.

To consult, cooperate and deal with other individuals and organization on behalf of the produce trade.
