Code of Ethics
Associated Produce Dealers and Brokers of Los Angeles, Inc
We recognize that the foundation of business is
confidence which springs from mutual benefit. Fair Dealing. Integrity and
efficient service. To demonstrate our belief in these principles we pledge the
following:
1. To promote and maintain a high standard of business ethics within the industry and to conform to well established and accepted trade practices encouraging fair and ethical competition.
2. To endorse and support the Perishable Agriculture Commodities Act and to use the standards and principles of that act to guide the conduct of our business.
3. To make constant effort to improve facilities and to streamline methods of food distribution which will ultimately result in lower prices to the consumer.
4. To direct our best efforts toward continuing harmony and close unity in all management -- employee relations.
Members of the Associated Produce Dealers and Brokers of Los Angeles, Inc. shall at all times seek to elevate the standard of the fresh produce industry by practicing the ethical standards set forth in this code. The adoption of this code by our association places an obligation on all of its members to sincerely and faithfully abide by the rules of conduct so set forth.
